– choreographic work –

Synopsis:

“Amid the complexities of an ever-shifting world, six artists from the Moving Matters project will gather together with the choreographer Aleksandar Georgiev for a three-week working around dance through methods of co-thinking, co-dreaming, and co-imagining futures shaped by queer narratives and nonlinear logics. Inspired by Fantastic Futures FF, this project embraces ambiguity—blurring the lines between facilitating collective processes and creating new artistic work. Together, participants will engage with the uncertainties of the present and co-imagine possibilities for transformation.”

“This project deals with the kinetics of dance and performing arts as practices for envisioning and embodying shared futures. By engaging with the complexities of our current global moment, we will explore queer narratives and nonlinear logic as pathways to reimagine transformation and interconnectedness. Through co-thinking, co-dreaming, and co-imagining, we aim to generate a space where futures are not fixed but continuously unfolding through nostalgia and disrupted linear logic of frontality. Embracing senses and affect in the making of spaces/places, ambiguity, and collective imagination, this process invites us to consider dreaming as a radical act of creativity and renewal, shaped by fluid and intersecting realities.”
